Claudia xóchitl huerta mejía  – better known by his stage name, Tenoch Huerta – is a Mexican actor who has emerged as one of the most exciting actors of the new generation of Mexican cinema. He came into the limelight following his debut in the critically acclaimed movie, Amores Perros. Huerta is best known for his portrayal of the villain, ‘N’Jadaka/Erik Killmonger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie, Black Panther (2018).

Who Is Tenoch Huerta?

Huerta was born on June 24, 1984, in Mexico City, Mexico. He studied at the Centro de Educación Artística at the legendary Televisa network, where he trained in singing, dancing and theater for several years. It was here that he gained his love for performing, which helped launch his career.

He has appeared in numerous Mexican television shows since 2007, mostly in soap operas, where he played characters with a big presence.

Huerta made his feature film debut in the 2000 Mexican independent movie Amores Perros, playing a hardened criminal — a role which earned him critical praise. He has since starred in many Mexican movies and series, including Man on Fire (2004), The Burning (2005) and Azul y no tan Rosa (2012).
